Watch: Reunion

The Partition of India in 1947 features in my upcoming novel, That Thing We Call a Heart. Imagine, if you will, that the United States was ripped into two, with 14 million people displaced, friends, families torn apart, over a million people killed, and after it was over no one really talked about it, and you have a sense of the history of Partition.

Reunion, a sentimental 2013 commercial for Google, touches on this history, and made lots of viewers teary-eyed (gotta love those commercials that make you cry).
