Naqvi, Tahira Naqvi and many others.

Skunk Girl

My first book is a young adult novel about the trials and tribulations of Nina Khan, a Pakistani-American girl growing up in upstate New York.  The first question people often ask me is “Is it autobiographical?”  Although the book was inspired by my own experiences and those of my desi girlfriends, the book is fiction.  In fact, the only scene that actually happened to me (with some artistic license taken, of course) was edited out, but you can read it here.

You can buy the book on Amazon here (North America), as well as in Denmark (where the book title has been translated as Nina Khan: 16 Years Old and Fur!), IndiaItaly and Sweden.
