One thought - Bangladeshi immigrants in the states have long pushed their kids into academia. I found that to be a delineating factor when I went to college (in the 90s). All the Pakistani and Indian kids were going to be doctors and lawyers and business people. And the Bangladeshis were going to be professors and engineers. Maybe this distinction is useless given no one was going to be a musician or artist or social worker, but at the time, I thought it separated me/Bangladeshis from the other Desis in college.]]></description>

as a journalist in India, i understand what you mean but u might feel better to know that most journos of &#039;certain&#039; publications are expected to write LOT more than they are paid for and hence there is a certain lack of accuracy that come with the hurry of sending a copy.
